Established by Jack Mortenson in the early 70’s, J&L Electric specialized in the installation and service of farm shops, pivots and pumps. As the owner of a family owned and operated business, Jack taught his sons the importance of hard work, the commitment to customer service, and a job well done early in life.

In the early 1980s the business branched out and grew into the field of industrial and commercial electrical services. Ty and Bret then joined the the company and trained as apprentices and then journeymen. The boys were eager to take J&L to new places, they brought a renewed ambition to the firm.

After some success and planning Bret and Ty were able to purchase the company, which has continued to grow, increasing in services, productivity and its employee base. J&L Electric is lead by trained professionals as the head of the company this team has continued to look towards the future with an eye on efficiency and a dedication to excellence in the electrical industry.
